Silas Bieri
Silas Bieri was born in Biel, Switzerland. From an early age he played the violoncello and later a variety of other instruments. In the 1990’s Silas invented ways to work musically with early digital audio and started to compose electronically. After interrupted studies in anthropology at the University of Berne, he completed a master’s degree in sound engineering at " La Manufacture - Haute école des arts de la scène” in Lausanne, CH. From large scale stadium events in Germany to children theater in South Africa, film sets in Mongolia, or dance performances in Rio-de-Janeiro. In 2014 Silas funded and constructed the studios in-discourse in Malmö (SE) where he is artistically as well as technically in charge. Today he is working as a sound designer and engineer, creating sounds for the creative industries, film, performing arts and music. He works in close collaborations with art directors, cinematographers, and choreographers from all over the world.
